Order book

Vest takes a streamlined approach to order execution by eliminating the complexity and latency of traditional on-chain order books. Instead of supporting maker-taker dynamics, Vest routes all trades through its internal AMM, making it a taker-only system by design. This architecture avoids fragmented liquidity and ensures that users always trade directly against deep, predictable pricing.

While the term “order book” still applies to the temporary queue of marketable taker orders, there’s no need for on-chain storage or complex matching logic. The result is faster execution, simplified infrastructure, and a more efficient trading experience for users.
